Server Issue No Quarter Issue

Haii, 

 

I have an issue regarding the NQ server, whenever I go to connect to the server, my ET shuts itself off and the game closes itself down. Any recommendations or helping tips for this issue

If its an older install then remove the entire NQ folder and reconnect to the server and it should download new and clean NQ files.

If new install do you have your etkey saved and placed in your etmain folder.

Is it an old install or clean/new one?

I've got an old install. No error messages, just an instant shut off. I'm using 2.60b

Just NQ or all mods? If just NQ then delete the NQ folder and reconnect to NQ1 and it will give new files.

If its all mods then use the pk3cleaner to remove a few pk3's

 

 

Try those and go from there.

Instead of making another topic on an issue I have with NQ, I thought I would post it in an original topic I made sometime ago.

 

If I open up ET, and connect to NQ, I have no issue, the issue starts when a new map begins, for some odd reason, my sound goes weird and high pitched, I also lose my gun, and I play on /cg_drawgun 1, and also the medic packs and ammo packs are a different pixeled image, I also get a red and or blue line at the bottom of my screen in the center. I will upload a image that I screenshotted on NQ just a moment ago, this happens every time there's a new map on NQ, any idea's and or solutions would be helpful, and I would be thankful if anyone and or anybody can resolve this.

try

- close the game

- rename nq folder into nq_old (if using legacy client it will be in Documents folder, if using 2.60b it's in Programs x86/Wolfenstein.... )

- run the game as admin and make sure cvars are correct:
    seta com_hunkMegs                         "512"
    seta com_zoneMegs                         "128"
    seta com_soundMegs                        "24"

    seta cl_allowDownload                        "1"
    seta cl_wwwDownload                        "1"

- manually connect to nq server and let it download all the needed stuffs

 

if this do not solve, reinstall the main client (legacy) ...might be some corrupted .pk3 files
