That pilot seems to have cut the power from his faltering engine at just the right time to safely land between all those human heads in the ocean!  Skill & Good Eyes!

Poor tbm Avenger.  They ended up retiring that plane and putting it in a museum after.  There's one in a museum nearby that they fly from time to time.   I used to live right next to a little private airfield and they'd stop by and do a bunch of low passes.  Nothing like the sound of a massive radial engine.
