Leader RedBaird Posted November 17, 2019 Leader Share Posted November 17, 2019 I believe that this was done on the F|A servers because so many new players were joining with the default rate of only 5000. If they don't know English, then it is hard to explain the problem to them. You can join the server and then try lower rates by opening the console and doing /rate 45000, etc. You can experiment with lower and lower settings until you feel that you have a stable connection. You can then try higher rates from time to time, just to see if "the Internet" has improved for you. You can either enter the /rate manually or make a "rate4500.cfg" file in your etmain folder, with the contents of "rate 4500" (with no "/"). You seem to be playing from a long, long way away from the FA HC server, which is on the East Coast of the USA. When you see FA-admins on the server, you can ask them directly for help. They could /follow you and watch your lagometer and give an opinion. Is your lagometer on? If not, open the console and do "CG_lagometer 1".
