that_guy Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 So after being forced to switch my schedule at work, a nice 6 or 8 point buck decided to use my car to commit suicide. As if it isn't bad enough he ruined my hood, headlight, corner light, bumper, fender, door, mirror, rocker molding, tire and screwed up the alingment. I spent the next 5 hours looking for him. So after being awake for 32 hours, I still had no nice sized buck to show for the totaled car and lack of sleep..... Story of my life. Quote
that_guy Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 Yup, full coverage but being without a vehicle while the car is either repaired or totalled out is the part that sucks. Apparently being a "Premier Customer" does not get you a free loaner or a decent price break on a loaner. Quote
Thoracic Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Having a car out of commission is a bummer, no physical injuries? My wife and I used to live in a small ranching town where deer accidents happened weekly, some involved serious injury so one brightside is it could have been worse... Quote
Duckie Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 That sucks dude! hitting deer can be dangerous! GJ on living to tell the tale =] Quote
that_guy Posted September 30, 2010 Author Posted September 30, 2010 No injuries on my part. I'll post pics when I can get to the body shop. Quote
Disco Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Glad to hear that ur ok but sorry to hear about ur car Quote
that_guy Posted October 1, 2010 Author Posted October 1, 2010 Well the car is a total loss per the adjuster. Time to find a new car or truck. Quote
RoosterCogburn Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 I hit a deer once. I just clipped it, but I was driving a little Mazda 6 so it dented a little bit. I went out looking for the deer too, if it wasn't dead I was going to beat it to death with my bare hands. Quote

that_guy Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 I had my pistol with me in case I found him and he was suffering, but no dice. Atleast with some of the insurance money I can buy a new crossbow for this season. Quote
