Placeholder Configs:

Base Config(for normal servers): rifleman2.cfg

Angry Bots Configs (for =F|A= servers):

1. rifleman1.cfg
2. rifleman3.cfg

 

Intro:

This mod will create custom buttons on your load-out screens. You can also see the installation guide inside the workshop link from above if you don’t understand my tutorial.

This should work for both #2 and #4 Angry Bots servers. The above config files are placeholders. You can customize them (check out FAQ s for more info). 1 is shown further in tutorial, 3 is mg loadout.

Note: This mod can only auto-buy single slot for each weapon.

For ex: this will buy you one primary, one secondary, and a grenade, but it will buy all the necessary gears and accessories. So you will have to manually buy the second secondary and the remaining three explosive slots.

I also recommend not to mess with the cfg if you don't know how to change it, (it will just mess up the loadout and you won't get your specific attachments etc,).

Main:

 

Step 1: Subscribe to the mod, let it download (you may have to start the game and exit game to start the download. So make sure it downloads it.

 

 

Step 2: Then locate and copy the vpk file from the following directory:

//.../steamapps/workshop/content/222880/1258859293/

 

It should look something like this (my steam library is in custom directory):

 

 

Step 3: Now paste the vpk in:

//.../steamapps/common/insurgency2/insurgency/custom/

After pasting it, it should look like:

 

 

 

Step 4: Now, to the hassle part of this tutorial.

Do not get this step wrong whatsoever. (everything in this step is case sensitive too. Do not miss even a single folder.)

 

After pasting it, in the same location create a folder: presets

Inside the presets folder, you will need to create a bunch of folders like:

//…./presets/cfg/linoCFG/loadout/

 

After you are inside loadout folder, create two folders named: ins and sec

Now the loadout folder should look like:

 

 

Step 5: (Since we are playing coop, don’t worry about ins folder).

Go inside sec folder and paste the config files in there.

 

 

Step 6: Start up the game→ Connect to any of =F|A= Angry Bots server→

1. Click Init Loadout.

2. Click on Rifleman/Fighter button.

 

After doing 1 and 2, …..It should look like:

Loadout screen (rifleman1.cfg) :

 

 

If you click on rifleman again, you will load rifleman2.cfg (which is for normal servers) so you wont see any guns probably. Click on it again, then you get a mg loadout.

You can check which cfg is loaded by going to console and it will show you the current config (although maybe hard to find it).

FAQ s:

 

1. I don’t see any of the buttons to click on?

• A. You made an error in step3. Go back to the folders, check if you have pasted the vpk in the correct directory. (Looks like normal Insurgency loadout screen).

 

2. I click on Rifleman button and the whole loadout is just cleared.

• A. Open console, if the error says “cannot exec rifleman1.cfg” or something of that sort, then you made an error in step4. Check the directories, and check if the configs are in the right (sec) folder.

3. How do I create my own config?

• A. Tutorial on how to create your own config, and how to make an autoexec for it is coming soon, so stay tuned. Meanwhile this should keep you going.

Bonus: If you made it till the end of this tutorial, a bonus for just you. Since I don’t give back to the community that much ( I do what every other member does ofc) but I want to give back more. So…………

Until I make the tutorial on how to make your own config for =F|A= Angry Bots servers, If you want your loadout config and don’t want all the hassle of finding weapon ID and making your own config (which is kind of hard to do, I say kind of because once learned it’s easy).

I will make configs for anyone who is regular, trial and above on =F|A= Angry Bots servers, all you have to do is send me a screenshot of your loadout like shown in step6. And I will make the config for you, all you have to do is download and put the configs as per the tutorial. You can PM me on forums or Discord with the ss. Don’t include the second secondary and the last 3 grenade slots since, we can’t use it anyways.

Also because I have so much free time, that I just want something to do so meh!
