So, I moved someone to spec on Jay1 this morning. He was standing in spawn staring at the wall for at least thirty seconds. I asked them in main chat if he was playing. There was no response, so I put him in spec.

 

He got very upset with me and called me a moron a couple times in main chat. I told him that I thought he was afk. He said he was just changing some settings and didn't have time to reply to my question.

 

So, do we have a timelimit for when we move someone to spec? Because we both thought we were right and the other guy was being a jerk.

1. If you see anyone AFK for more then 4-6 spawn cycles move him to spec. Let him be in spec.

- Bashing on any player continuously you suck, you f***ing noob, you f***ing jew, etc. = Not allowed. !mute those players.

I suggest a minimum of 3 minutes into the map like the !spec999 rule.

When I see an afk person with a light bulb above their head (meaning they either got console, main menu or chat window open, or they are messing with their settings) I usually wait longer before I ask them if they are there and eventually putting them to spec. I don't think there is an official time limit since spawn cycles aren't the same on each team, let alone map.

Thanks. I have read the "four spawn cycle" rule before, and he was pushed up against a wall staring at nothing in axis spawn for at least thirty seconds, maybe a minute. I did the usual "hey #### you playing?" post, wait a few seconds for some reply or movement, then !put #### s.

 

Then the guy goes postal on me, calls me a moron several times, and I'm thinking wtf, all I did was put you in spec. I asked him in a pm not to talk like that to me in open chat. He said "no" and continued his raging. I muted him for a few seconds, then unmuted him and he continued.

 

I thought about making a formal complaint but decided I should first find out if there was some new rule first, and that maybe I did something wrong. Guess not.

I always ask if someone is afk like 4 or 5 times if there is no response i will send them a pm that im going to move them to spec

i saw when that guy went mad on u, i think maybe to avoid that kinda stuff , just check if the guy has any kills /scores if he has 10 kills or more he is probably just went to the kitchen and get some water haha., if he has 0 kills he is afk so put spec IMO

I always check if he has shot any bullets(ALT) if he didnt,then ya know he's afk,extra check just pm him..

in the console, you can see their stats without going into spec.
