HI all,

I need some help

When I play ET online something happens to my internet which makes it "drop" every second for like 2 mins then its normal for like 30 mins, then it starts to mess up agian.

It's annoying at times so I would like to know what's going on....

Any suggestions? please!

Here's a pic of what the lagometerr looks like when it happens

Please, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Many thanks,

Andrestor

CPU and / or hard drive related. You can simulate same behavior in lagometer when u minimize/maximize your ET.

Turn of your firewall and antivirus while playing and see in task manager which process are running when you are gaming.

It's more likely CPU related.

Pentium D 820. I had this exact same problem and exact processor more than half a year back. Based on this I can almost guarantee you the processor needs an upgrade. Why? probably for punkbuster. You can try asking evenbalance why you need a strong processor to not lag, but they probably won't tell you (not trying to put down PB but can't find any other explanation why I don't lag on non-pb environments, and stopped lagging entirely after CPU upgrade)
