Looking for a lightweight laptop for work. Not for gaming, but need long battery life because I need to work on trip.

 

Display: about 11-inch 

Budget: about $400(under $500)

 

Any suggestion?

I'd definitely consider chromebooks in that range of price and according to your requirements.
 

I don't own any but I hear they are usefull for travel purpose.

Dont think to find good battery pc with a low budget, I almost tried the same and need to replace battery after a year with 2-3 hrs battery performance per day.

So got this HP 15 wich is one of the supposed latest light notebooks with the most austere deal.

So if you see it stay away from buy it, I dont recommend it, maybe Dell Inspiron models could fit to your proposal, had one years ago and the battery life lasted 5 years with 1-2 hrs battery usage.

Fact is finding a reliable laptop is very hard these days. All I could strongly advice is the thinkpad from Lenovo. It's the only laptop allowed on the ISS
