Problem with the new F|A menu

Hi all , when I download and put the " Clean " in the folder of game , I just get the classic Wolfenstein folder :

 

 

 

 

Is the placement of " clean " is right in my folder ???

You should be able to install from any folder, and the clean file does not need to go in any folder. double click and run the file.

That Clean.cmd file isn't the menu setup it clears all installed/downloaded menus from etmain and you get the stock menu when you run it.

Download: http://fearless-assassins.com/medic/setup/FA-Menu-Servers.exe and you should have the menu.

yeah clean is not the name of the file, I didn't even have to use the clean file .

from your screenshot I see your ET is installed on C:\wolfenstein, the menu setup file will look for ET on your Programs files folder, so when you first double click Hit BROWSE...

 

for Clean.cmd it's only added for future clean or any trouble with new menu so you can run it to remove menus

so if you use it it will remove what you install already... don't use it, just install first time in the right way and that's all

ahhhh there is a clean file in my ET folder. I have had the problem with the game crashing and resetting my settings, so annoying by the way.

 

That's why your menu wasn't showing up . I'm guessing you install...... use clean, and then re-install.

hum what i suggest to you is go to your game folder where Clean.cmd is and do right click - select EDIT, then remove this line "del /s /f /q *~~~~~~~~*.pk3" and save it again

 

this way you can run clean.cmd every time you want if you have troble with .tmp or .pid files

 

but reset setting happen with pid file most of time with ET 2.55, if you have 2.55 then you may update your game to last version 2.60b which is better for your game, and you can use this one full patch ET PATCH
