Making new Weapons?

How can we make new weapons and/or classes for ET?

I know some mods and addons have some extra weapons and classes, but how can someone make those?

I have always been interested in making something of this kind for ET.

Maybe making the Grease Gun, a tank class, snipers, etc.

It's no easy task you will need to learn modeling and scripting.

 

I can only suggest the folder locations and tools required.

 

In pak0.pk3 check these 2 folders for references

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etmain\pak0.pk3\weapons\

C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etmain\pak0.pk3\models\weapons2\

 

Blender

Gmax

Autocad

Milkshape

There is more my mind is old this is talking about something I haven't done in a very long time

 

Also keep in mind md3 and mdc are basically the same thing if you change the extension to md3 from mdc you'll just lose the comression (edit: compression) <-- ten miles from topic but throwing a bone

It'd be cool to have a gun on silent like the k43 without the rnades for all classes that actually hipfired accurately as something to fart around with that was either semi or low rate of fire with higher damage. Something in between k43 and smg damage. m1 carbine??
