I had no issues connecting to FA BF2 server, but now I get a "invalid CD key" error.. I bought my copy of BF2 so it is a legit key.  I went into BF2 folder and manually put in key again, then reinstalled patch, then input key again.. Now it wont connect period.. It just does nothing.  I am getting "FAILs" all over the BFconfig, but my system specs are far good enough for the game, it is just not seeing them.

I am thinking it is a windows 7 issue perhaps?

SPECS:

i7 950 @ 3.1
9GB DDR3
2TB HD
GTX 285 Nvidia
1920x1080x60 LG 24''

Everything in the way of drivers are up to date, so I dont know...

ok, I FINALLY got around to installing it again.  When I went to install.  It tells me I have bad key, lol?  So I contacted EA and proved to them I bought it.  They then issued me a new key and I am installing as I type.  Sucks though cause my ex husband bought this game about 2+ years ago, so its like the first release version.  I will be up to my neck in patches..

Anyway, hope to be back in my helicopter soon.   :)

you didnt have to reinstall you were just suppose to go to EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\Support and click on battlefield2_code.exe and enter new key.

I think as of the 1.5 patch or even the 1.41 takes the key in regedit and encrypts it.. looks like an md5 sum
