Hello

My clan and I have a server with the 2.55+ patch installed and punkbuster with streamming on.

When 2.55 players connect to our server, they are kicked always by this error:

MD5tool mismatch etmain/pak2.pk3 or mp_bin.pk3 or pak0.pk3

I tried disabling punkbuster and 2.55 players can connect but We dont want pb off.

Can someone help us please?

Your 2.55 players don't have the same official packs in the etmain folder then 2.60 players. These official packs are pak0.pk3, pak1.pk3, pak2.pk3 and mp_bin.pk3. You should remove the MD5Tool checks from these packs from your pb configs because they will not match between all clients.

For further instructions and advises about how to remove the checks and questions about the importance of those checks, you should contact to your streaming source.

We have PBBans streaming on and no issue at all.

Just delete your mp_bin.pk3, pak1.pk3 and pak2.pk3 from your etmain and you are good to go. If you are using PsB or any other streaming, then you would like to contact them. We have no issue with PBBans streaming.

I would recommed applying to the PBBans that can do more sophisticated validation of packs then just 1 to 1 comparisons between 1 version of the pack.

My clan streams both pbbans and punksbusted. We have no issues running this patch. Just do what DareDevil said and you should be good.

MD5tool mismatch doesn't depend at all of what files are in the servers etmain folder. Also, he mentioned pak0.pk3 which can't be deleted from there. It does look like misconfiguration in the punkbuster.

Also, maybe he doesn't stream from PsB but from some third streaming service.

EDIT:
Ps. I'm streaming only from pbbans so I don't know anything about how other streaming services have made their configurations. Also using 2.55+ without any problems.

We tried to apply to pbbans but we have 1 ex member that was a cheater in the master ban list so they didnt accept us.

I have asked in punksbusted forums and they are helping me, we have to edit the pbsvuser.cfg

If that is "ex" member then you should re apply for streaming. If you mean he is still in your clan then you should drop him. Community is always above that 1 person. There is major difference between PsB and PBBans when it comes down to cvar + md5 scans.

If I am correct, punksbusted.com doesn't do any Generic Cvar Scans. Also, there ban list is delayed and not instant.

There cvar scans is also way old. Let me ask you one thing. What's the point of checking stock pk3's ? Add more time in scanning cheats? Since what time cheaters have started using pak1.pk3 and pak2.pk3 for cheats?

Just FYI always check what you put on your server FTP for checks.  Your server will be more cheat free if you are streaming with PBBans and that's my advise as a player and an admin to another player/admin.

pb_sv_CvarUserPulse 15
pb_sv_CvarChangedPulse 15

He isnt in the clan because we have dropped him 3 months ago or so but when he was banned he had our tag on.

We would like to stream with pbbans too, i think is better as you said but they dont accept us

Please, re apply for streaming as you have removed the cheater from your clan. We will look in to it. For some reason I missed the post.
