WET is a tactical and teambased game. one side defends, one side attacks. sometimes some ppl just fool arround and do nothing - but other players stick together and try to do the objective ... whats the mainpoint of the game. i have no problem with rushing a map - but admins have to take care that the teams are balanced. 2 or more maps rushed = a !shuffle. thats how i do it. a rule against rushing is crap in my eyes. but never forget the fun.

In my opinion the meaning of 'Map rushing is allowed after 5 mins but please let players enjoy the map' is:

don't be so nub in completing a map too fast, when it's obvious that nobody is defending, and the objective is way too easy to do, because it's ultra-lame and it cannot be associated to the concept of 'winning' in any possible way.

Once players will start to understand that victory is fun only when it's hard to achieve (and people like cheaters, rushers and the like don't seem to understand this concept) they will stop rushing the maps maybe. If players had common sense and respected each other, there would be no need to enforce such rules as 'no rush'.

For example in goldrush I once played for the objective, then after we took the gold (and it was by no means a rush, there were only 5 mins left out of 30) I said in team chat 'ok, we won.' then I stopped moving the truck, and started to play only for frags. Some retarded instead moved it at once. What for? To prove what? Maybe I wanted to enjoy those 5 minutes of my favorite map, and I couldn't.

The main point of a game is not necessarily chosen by the game designers, the main point of a game can be discovered by the players' community only after playing it for many years, even uber-old games like chess didn't always have the same rules they have now.

And when I say player community I don't mean pub community, because the only ones who push the game to its limits are those who play competitively. They play for the objective, but in public servers they are generally wise enough not to do the same, unless there is some fun to be obtained by doing so (and generally it's not the case)

Campaign mode is a 'f*cking-around-mode' and if developers had really in mind a tactical game where both teams had the same chance, they would have made only stopwatch mode, or only symmetrical maps like baserace.

That's because rushing doesn't make sense in the first place.
