fullscreen problem

ok this is annoying, i cannot get my game to go fullscreen. ive tried, r_mode -1 with custom height and width set, the game window goes full screen but the game itself stays shrunk as if i did nothing, so it looks all smushed together and horrible, ive tried setting the command in the properties of ET itself, did nothing. idk wtf to do now... someone anyone please help, i need to put more bullets into people and i cannot with this shit being all jacked up. windows 7 btw if that matters, i believe its 32bit.

Try Alt + Enter if ET windows is opened!

no my game never starts windowed, thats not the kind of fullscreen im referring to, ill take a ss to let you guys see what i mean.

Try playing with /r_mode, after each do /vid_restart

 

I had same problem, with two black column on sides.

It allows you to switch between:

1. PC Desktop

2. Full screen, but with a small ET (not exactly your case, but around the same)

3. Full screen ET, which is standard for ET normals.

 

Maybe that program helps.

Otherwise I wouldn't have an idea as well.

I had this problem too little while back. With me it was a video driver problem. The settings in Nvidia setup program where wrong.

I made a new config specially for et in the Nvidia settings. Now it works fine.

 

But dunno if thats your case.

the r_mode -1 trick works on etpro but not on silent, wtf?!

The limbo menu is supposed to look like that and so is the end of round. During the actual map everything is fine

no, no its not, it never has before, look at my old screenshots on my xfire, thats what it looked like before, and then you see what it looks like now, what the hell?!

so let me run down the list of things ive tried...

r_mode -1/r_customheight 768/r_customwidth 1366 - works with the result shown in ss

alt+enter toggled - didnt work

rolling back drivers for nvidia video card then reinstalling them - didnt work

and a laundry list of other things, didnt work, so if someone has any ideas, like maybe what else i could try with the nvidia settings and other stuff, im in dire need of some assistance.

 

also, its not windowed, it runs fullscreen, the game just doesnt go fullscreen

there you see some screenshots, the first 2 are the most recent, took them today, thats is what im talking about, now you see my other screenshots, thats what it used to look like, before a nasty virus ate my harddrive, and i installed win7, used to have vista, now if ANYONE has any ideas, please help, im desperate to get this fixed so i can put my foot up snake's, hammy's and gunslinger's asses

And how many new versions of silent mod have come out between your older ss and the newest ones. 2 months -> new version of silent -> things change. One of those changes from those old versions is the different appearance of the limbo menu and end of round.

ok limbo looking the way it does due to the new updates of silent, possible for some, but i got hit with a virus RIGHT after the newest update to silent, limbo didnt look that way before my hd got fried by it (the virus that is) and that doesnt explain the scores looking like that, all smashed to the center, which is not the way it is supposed to look, so until anyone has any other ideas im stuck playing on an 800x600 game screen, f'ing awesome...
