Samsung's next major smartphones could launch in February and come in two sizes, according to news reports Monday. Expected to be called the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, the new devices may be unveiled on February 20, according to blog SamMobile. South Korea's Electronic Times is reporting the 2016 smartphone line would have a standard 5.2-inch version with straight sides and a larger 5.5-inch variant with curved sides. That would deviate from the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, which both debuted in 2015 with 5.1-inch screens, though the Edge had curved sides. Samsung remains the only phone maker to use a vertically curve-edged display. LG's G Flex and G Flex 2 devices slightly curved downward at the middle. Since demand for the Galaxy S6 Edge initially outstripped supply at one point, there's some question as to whether Samsung has learned from that release. Samsung reportedly plans to have 5 million handsets ready to go at launch: 3.3 million of the Galaxy S7 and 1.7 million of the Galaxy S7 Edge. Rumored launch dates for the flagship phones have varied, from as early as next week at Las Vegas' Consumer Electronics Show -- which would be ahead of Samsung's typical cycle -- to February 20, right around Barcelona's Mobile World Congress trade show, the company's usual venue. Other recent rumors suggest the Galaxy S7 could have an iris scanner for unlocking the phone with your eyes, USB Type-C charging, and a pressure-sensitive display similar to 3D Touch on the Apple iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. It hasn't been a long time since the Galaxy S6 edge plus and Note 5 were launched, but seems like Samsung as always wants to keep the market accommodated with its device and has finished producing its new flagship, The Galaxy S7 aka Project Lucky. The smartphone is suspected to launch next year. Specification- The Samsung Galaxy S7 would be running on the Snapdragon 820 chipset and The Adreno 530 GPU, which would be featuring the in house Kyro cores developed by Qualcomm instead of the ARM chipset which would deal with the significant underclocking and throttling issue of the 810 chipset. The Snapdragon 820 is the first self made 64-bit processor from Qualcomm and is based on the Samsung's 14nm FinFET process, Click Here To read more about the features of Snapdragon 820. It is also rumored that an another variant of the S7 would be featuring the new Mongoose chipset also referred to as the new Exynos 7430 Hero from Samsung. The Galaxy S7 would be featuring 4 Gigabytes of Ram, 64 Gb of ROM, a 5.7 inch 1440 x 2560 pixel display, a 16 Mp rear and a 5Mp front camera and is running on 5.1.1 version of Android at the current time. The Galaxy S7 would be featuring the UFS 2.0 memory controller for data storage and transfer as in the Galaxy S6. But this technology currently isn't compatible with micro SD card, however Samsung is working on implementing it with micro Sd card for future device and the S7. It has also been speculated that the final version of the S7 would feature a 20 Megapixel Isocell camera sensor instead of the 16Mp in the current test version. Source http://www.unrevealtech.com/

Samsung has included a fingerprint scanner on a number of devices since it debuted one on the Galaxy S5, so it's no surprise at all to hear that the Galaxy Note 4 will come with one as well, but this time it could be in for a few improvements. According to a 'credible source' speaking to SamMobile, the Galaxy Note 4 will use the Synaptics' Natural ID solution, just like the Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy Alpha. This means that to operate the scanner properly you'll have to swipe down from the lower part of the screen to the home button, a necessity which some users find counter intuitive and others still may not even be aware of, so it's perhaps not ideal. More positively the Note 4 apparently includes the four fingerprint scanning features from the Galaxy S5, specifically Screen Lock, Private Mode, Samsung Account Verification and PayPal Payments, but at least two new features may be inbound as well. Smart fingersFirst up there's 'Fingerprint Shortcuts', which allows you to assign a function or application to each registered fingerprint, so for example if you register one finger to open the browser then unlocking the phone with that one will take you straight to the browser rather than the home screen. Another new feature that's apparently coming to the Galaxy Note 4 is 'Web Sign-in', which allows you to sign in to websites that can remember passwords by swiping your finger over the home key, saving you from troublesome typing while remaining more secure than if you simply left sites signed in. It's feasible that these new features could also come to other Samsung devices as a software update at some point, so if you're rocking a Galaxy S5 you might benefit too. Samsung Galaxy S IV leaked press release shots? We of SamMobile just received a huge tip from our insider at Samsung and according to him this is the next generation of the Galaxy S series, the Galaxy S IV. We can’t 100% confirm if this is indeed the Galaxy S IV but the picture he sent us looks really sharp and doesn’t look fake at all. The design of the device looks also very similar to the design of the Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Premier, which makes this picture more authentic. By looking at the picture of the device we observed a few things, the device will use on-screen buttons as there is no home-button present on the device (Finally), the bezel around the device is much thinner and the device features a large display. We didn’t get any confirmation on the specifications of the Galaxy S IV but the rumoured specifications are listed below: - Exynos 5450 Quad-Core CPU clocked at 2.0GHz - Mali-T658 GPU - 2GB of RAM - 4.99” SuperAMOLED FULL HD resolution (1080×1920) Display - 13 Megapixel Rear Facing Camera - 2 Megapixel Front Facing Camera - Android 4.2.1 (Out of the box) Reaction SamMobile: - Source claimed to have more pictures. - It’s hard to believe. - Mix between Galaxy S III / Galaxy Premier could make this render (press photo) looks real. - Before the official presentation by Samsung is nothing 100% sure. source
