  1. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is getting its own customer loyalty program. Activision and Treyarch announced today that Black Ops 3 players who reached certain multiplayer levels in previous Call of Duty games will be rewarded with special bonuses right out of the gate, including a special weapon camo for the particularly Prestigious. You'll receive the same rewards whether you played Black Ops 2, Ghosts, or Advanced Warfare. If you reached level 10 in any of those games, you'll get a special Calling Card. Players who hit level 31 will also get two unique reticles, and players who Prestiged will get a special weapon camo to boot. The camo pattern integrates the Prestige logos from the previous games, making for a nice little trophy for your old triumphs. You'll be eligible for the Loyalty rewards no matter what system you played the game(s) on; just make sure you link your Xbox Live, PSN, and/or Steam accounts to your Call of Duty account by November 5 at 9 pm PDT. The rewards will only be redeemable on PC, PS4, and Xbox One - PS3 and Xbox 360 won't get the Black Ops 3 campaign, either. Source http://www.gamesradar.com
  2. The existence of a "Realistic" difficulty mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops III was recently discovered by the game's achievement/trophy listings. Now, Treyarch has provided more details on how this uber-challenging mode works. Producer Jason Blundell tells XboxAchievements, “[in Realistic] you have one point of life, so if you're shot once, you're dead. It completely changes the way you play the game." He went on to say that surviving in Black Ops III's four-player co-op campaign will require the coordinated effort of all soldiers. And patience. Lots and lots of patience, it seems. "You all have to survive as a group," he explained. "You end up respecting the level in a completely different way, and once gunfire opens up, everyone just drops to the ground, because if any one bullet hits you or a grenade goes off near you, you're dead." Past Call of Duty games have featured Recruit, Regular, Hardened, and Veteran difficulty settings. If you're playing Black Ops III's co-op campaign with computer characters instead of human friends, you may be happy to learn that the game's AI has been completely rewritten to "make independent decisions," Blundell explained. He added: "We have more types of AI than we've ever had before." Black Ops III launches on November 6 for all platforms. The last-generation versions of the shooter do not have a campaign mode, a point that will be made clear on the game's box. In other news, a Treyarch producer apologized for a recent Black Ops III marketing campaign involving a fake terrorist attack. Activision also has released stunning new trailer for Black Ops III's zombies mode, Shadows of Evil, showing off the virtual versions of actors such as Jeff Goldblum, Ron Perlman, Heather Graham, and Neal McDonough. 3. Following the announcement of the celebrity voice cast for Call of Duty: Black Ops III's Zombies mode over the summer, Activision has now confirmed which actors will have roles in the game's campaign. As suspected, Law & Order's Christopher Meloni (Agent Stabler on the long-running crime drama) will play a quasi-bad guy named John Taylor, a Special Forces Commander. Joining Meloni is Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff, who plays a character named Sarah Hall. According to Entertainment Weekly, Hall "was at the top of her class on her aptitude tests, which caused her to be chosen for Special Forces training." Sackhoff previously voiced characters in Halo 3, Resistance 2, and Spider-Man: Edge of Time. Her voice will also be heard in EVE: Valkyrie. Also appearing in Black Ops III's campaign is Tony Amendola (Stargate SG-1), Sean Douglas (Days of Our Lives), Rachel Kimsey (Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless), Ben Browder (Farscape), and Abby Brammel (The Unit). Watch the story trailer above to see these characters in action. The campaign mode for last year's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare featured Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey in a lead role. Past games have featured people like Gary Oldman, Kiefer Sutherland, and Sam Worthington, among others. As was previously announced, Black Ops III's Zombies mode features the voices and likenesses of actors Jeff Goldbum, Ron Perlman, Neal McDonough, and Heather Graham. Black Ops III launches on November 6 for all platforms. The last-generation versions of the shooter do not have a campaign mode, only multiplayer and Zombies. Adding Franchise-First "Realistic" Difficulty The trophy list for Call of Duty: Black Ops III has emerged, revealing new details about the latest entry in Activision's blockbuster shooter series. Starting off, a franchise-first "Realistic" difficulty setting is mentioned in the list, published by Exophase. This would appear to be the game's new toughest difficulty setting, above the existing Hardened and Veteran. No further details about the "Realistic" setting were divulged. Past Call of Duty games have featured Recruit, Regular, Hardened, and Veteran difficulty settings. The name "Realistic" would suggest that there may be no health-regeneration, but developer Treyarch has yet to confirm any specific details. We'll have that information to you when it becomes available. In addition, the trophy list reveals that the Dead Ops Arcade mini-game from the original Black Ops will return. On top of that, it appears the max multiplayer level will be 55. Head to Exophase to see all the trophies, but be warned, they contain some light spoilers for the main game and its Zombies mode. Black Ops III launches on November 6 for all platforms. The last-generation versions of the shooter do not have a campaign mode, a point that will be made clear on the game's box. Recently, Activision conducted a viral marketing campaign for Black Ops III where it live-tweeted a fake terrorist attack. Source http://www.gamespot.com/
  4. Treyarch has long made it known that when they started working on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 they were aiming to make a game that would mostly be geared towards the PS4 and the Xbox One. Despite that, the company is actually producing a copy of the game for the Xbox 360 and the PS3, though the company just shed some light on those versions and they will be definitely be a paired down version of the game. The company announced on its official site that Black Ops 3 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 will feature Multiplayer and Zombies gameplay only, not Campaign. The firm said that despite the fact that this is a paired down version, they will still have features in the multiplayer mode such as the new momentum-based, chain-movement system, as well as the all-new Specialist class of 9 Black Ops soldiers. This means that there will be plenty of new features in the last generation version including a different kind of zombie mode. The zombie mode for the Xbox 360 and PS3 version is called “Shadows of Evil,” and is a hat tip to 1940’s film noire. Treyarch says that this is a rather original approach to the zombies mode that isn’t even offered when it comes to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. As another way to sweeten the pot for those who haven’t yet managed to purchase current generation consoles, the firm says it is going to be offering the ability to download for the original Call of Duty: Black Ops. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 launches on November 6, 2015. Source http://gamingbolt.com/
  5. Nuketown is probably the most popular multiplayer map in the entire Call of Duty: Black Ops pantheon. It debuted in the original Blops, was updated as Nuketown 2025 for Black Ops 2, and will return again—this time as Nuk3town—as a preorder bonus for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. "The Nuketown maps have a special place in Call of Duty multiplayer history and we can't wait to build upon that heritage in Black Ops 3," Treyarch boss Mark Lamia said. "We carefully adapted the design of the map to make sure that it fit with our new movement system, but to also make sure that we retained the spirit and the fun that made fans fall in love with it in the first place." Activision said Nuk3town has been "redesigned from the ground up," this time with a focus on integrating the new "momentum-based chained-movement system." Anyone who preorders the game will receive a code to download the map for free, while those who don't will presumably have the option to pay for it. Such is the way of things in the space year 2015. We don't generally endorse preordering around here, but as I've said previously, odds are you'd decided whether or not to buy Black Ops 3 before it was even announced. So if you're on the "yes" side of that particular fence, this probably represents a bit more good news for you. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 comes out on November 6. Source http://www.pcgamer.com/
  6. Treyarch and Activision have prepared a nice surprise for devoted Call of Duty fans on PC. The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta codes are currently being sent to Xbox One users, albeit with a few hiccups. On PC however, it’s all smooth sailing. If you’ve pre-purchased the game on PC through Steam, you can find the beta under your ‘Games’ tab and download it from there. The most interesting surprise though is that even if you didn’t pre-order, you will still get access. If you own Ghosts, Advanced Warfare, or Black Ops 2 on Steam, you automatically have access. Just head over to your games list and check for the beta. I own Ghosts and Black Ops 2,Advanced warfare and I can see it. The beta will likely be open to everyone in the final day or two, the same way it did on PlayStation 4. Which is great news because the game is a lot of fun. Monday, August 31 is when the beta ends, unless Treyarch decides to extend it for another day.
  7. Developer Treyarch has officially revealed some major details about Call of Duty: Black Ops III today, including the game's first trailer, which you can watch below. Black Ops III is being developed for next-gen consoles and PC and is set for a November 6, 2015 release date. By comparison, the game is only a little more demanding than Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's minimum system requirements, which requires a slightly older GPU. Treyarch told that it's putting a greater emphasis on good PC performance and stability this time around, which is why it's confident in revealing the minimum system requirements earlier in the development cycle. You can find the full minimum PC system requirements for the game below. Operating System: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit / Windows 8.1 64-Bit Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-530 @ 2.93 GHz / AMD Phenom™ II X4 810 @ 2.60 GHz Memory: 6 GB RAM Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 470 @ 1GB / ATI® Radeon™ HD 6970 @ 1GB DirectX: Version 11 Network: Broadband Internet connection Sound Card: DirectX Compatible Source:Gamespot
