If thats a scope, hes not even remotely looking though it, and it does not look like a Red Dot...Is the gun a Mosin?

It's a mosin with a long eye relief scope.

Yeah I didn't want to try drilling holes in the receiver, so I found that there was a weaver rail underneath the rear sight. Popped off the rear sight and put the pistol scope on.
