gunsling3r
Help. A friend of mine is having trouble with his computer. You turn it on and it promptly shuts down. It doesnt even show the windows loading screen. The monitor doesnt show anything! We tried unplugging and replugging everything but that didnt work. Any ideas how to fix? Thanks

=FlA=Incom!ng*
The same thing happed to me a about a year ago. It was a slow process. My PC would run fine and crash a few hours later, as time went by it would crash more often, untill it would crash on startup. I reinstalled my OS(12 disks) this helped for a short time, but wasn't long before it would crash again. I had to replace my harddrive. Newegg has good deals. Try this link: Pc crashes on startup

Administrators daredevil Posted August 14, 2010 Administrators Share Posted August 14, 2010 Go to BIOS and check all hardware. If hardware is in working state, then try to re install OS.
Papito
Clean every slot of your Motherboard, maybe video card or other card. Try it using Alcohol or a rubber pencil.

Nugget
Clean every slot of your Motherboard, maybe video card or other card. Try it using Alcohol or a rubber pencil. Not to disagree, but if you don't have a can of air, don't go sticking anything inside your computer to clean it out, especially if it is a liquid. guys its fixed...no need to post solutions anymore Any idea what was wrong? If it wasn't the power supply or the motherboard, I would be surprised.
