Tweaking for RTCW : ET Removing Map elements - Enemy Territory

This Tweak will show you how to remove Map elements.

 

 

there are cvars that remove elements from the map. Many of these are restricted by the leagues and most servers simply because they remove elements that were not intended to be removed:

 

r_uifullscreen 1 (default 0) [will remove fog on some maps. However on tram and some custom maps, which use fogclipping, it won't be useful. test it and you will see why]

r_fastsky (default 0) [can be turned on and off from the in-game menu, also improves FPS]

r_drawsun (default 1) [can be turned on and off from the in-game menu]

cg_wolfparticles (default 1) [can be turned on and off from the in-game menu, also improves FPS]

Sky and removing wolf particles increases good amount of FPS.

No Ifurita is some guy i met over ET who wrote this tutorial. Which is why i put the Credits at the top. I Just help out by spreading it about to the people who dont know this stuff.

No problem. Cant stand it when people take credit for stuff that isn't theres. Drives me nuts. I use to make maps for CSS and this one guy took my map and Edited called it his. I took care of him though so...

I use one called r_clamptoedge 0 this also takes fog away and is very effictive on maps like Baserace, but does require you to do a vid_restart aftering entering it to make it take affect
