St0rmSlaSh Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 Hey guys! I am currently undergoing my PC build and I just got the MSI B350 TOMAHAWK motherboard. But I was wondering something. Is there a specific RAM speed that the motherboard will allow for the Ryzen 5 1600? I wanted to get two sticks of 4 GB on each but I do not know for certain which speed I want to get for it. I was thinking of just getting 3200 MHz and call it a day. I do know I want DDR4... I am still new to this hardware stuff so any help is appreciated. <3 Quote
Buckwild Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 Motherboard and CPU both support 3200 MHz RAM(overclocked). Get SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) and set bios memory speed: 3200. If You can't, Upgrade the bios. 1 Quote
