Night Hunter Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 A free trial for Titanfall 2's multiplayer mode will be made available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Respawn and Electronic Arts announced today. Subscribers to Xbox One's EA Access and PC's Origin Access programs will get a first crack at the trial, beginning Wednesday, November 30. On December 2, everyone on Xbox One, PC, and PS4 will be able to play. EA didn't say how long the trial will be available for, though the company described it as a "limited time free trial." It's unclear if there are any limits to the trial content. Whatever the case, all multiplayer progress from the trial will carry forward to the full game. For reasons that have yet to be explained, Titanfall 2 was excluded from the benefits of EA/Origin Access. Typically, subscribers get to play EA-published games five days before release. Titanfall 2 launched at the end of October. Following a research firm's analysis that claimed the game's sales would be "substantially disappointing," EA CFO Blake Jorgensen suggested that sales were not as strong as the company wanted. In an investor call, Jorgensen said EA is taking a long-term approach to the Titanfall franchise, so the company is less concerned with first-day and first-week sales. Additionally, Titanfall 2 was heavily discounted very soon after launch. All Titanfall 2 DLC maps and modes will be available for free, beginning with a remastered version of the original Titanfall map Angel City, which comes out November 30 for some. A trailer for the remastered map was released today--watch it here. If Titanfall 2 isn't your thing, the MOBA-style action game Battlerite will be free to play on Steam starting on Thursday, December 1. Vanaraud Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 DL-d game, this time it´s only 30GB big, 42GB on disk. Game play feels the same(got my ass kicked at same rate). Played at steady 90 FPS on High settings @1440p. There seems to be no teams between matches, just player pool where you can join?(played only 1 map, so not sure). About annoying things, every action is Toggled again... So first things to do, would be go and find out if it´s possible to turn Toggle aim, crouch, sprint off, should make gamep lay more fluid. Vanaraud Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 All the essential actions are non toggled now, I guess that´s an improvement. Only sprint is toggled but it can be turned permanently ON. It´s a fast paced shooter so it´s fine. First levels were very hard but got the feeling back and it was going somewhat OK. Some of the maps look beautiful and loading times are short, no stutter or anything so all in all it´s a fast fluid FPS now. Matchmaking is sometimes really slow still and teams can be very off 50% of the time. Got hooked up, so stayed up till 6am to take all from Trial;) Now I´m hooked, I wonder if the player base stays after Trial period and if the game isn´t reaching it´s end with TF3 coming in 3 month again.
