krAzy :) Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 since ssd is very expensive at the moment cant they just put a harddrive AND a SSD memory in a computer the ssd could be used especially for windows program, so it would run faster.....i could also be used for other programs (lets say a 16gb ssd for about 40€ and the harddrive should be used as a 'mass-storage' memory (500gb for 50-60€) couldnt this work out? Krauersaut Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Yes. (As long as you configure your PC yourself. I haven't seen much preconfigured systems offering such a configuration.) Quote
Administrators JoeDirt Posted May 26, 2010 Administrators Posted May 26, 2010 I have a 32gb ssd as my os drive everything else is on my sata drives.I think when I bought mine it was 100 bucks after rebate. There are some manufacturer's that offer a ssd drives in their computers but thats in North America and usually its on one of the "build the custom pc" pages of their website. Quote
detoren Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 I use a intel ssd 80 gb as bootdisc and for my games its waste of money the maps load fast but theres a warmup time ^^ so ingame it has no use i dont notice any diffrence between my raptor and my ssd but it read 4 times faster . there already is a kingston ssd of 30 gb for os around 80 euro.
