Night Hunter Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Matt Damon returns as everyone's favourite amnesiac superspy this summer, when the simply titled Jason Bourne hits cinemas. Following February's Super Bowl teaser, the first full trailer arrives on Thursday this week. Director Paul Greengrass is also returning to the action franchise. He and Damon previously collaborated on the second and third films in the series--2004's The Bourne Supremacy and 2007's The Bourne Ultimatum. In 2012, an attempt was made to reboot the series with Jeremy Renner in the lead role, but The Bourne Legacy was both a critical and commercial disappointment. In an interview with The Telegraph last year, Damon spoke about the importance of the Bourne movies to him. "It's incalculable how much these movies have helped my career," he said. "Suddenly it put me on a short list of people who could get movies made and so directors called me and that's the best part of it. "Doing another Bourne movie is exciting. Hopefully it will be as good as the others and it stands out, mostly because it's been so long since the last one." Jason Bourne hits cinemas on July 29, 2016. It also stars Vincent Cassell, Julia Stiles, Alicia Vikander, and Tommy Lee Jones. Source http://www.gamespot.com/articles/jason-bourne-punches-bad-guys-and-makes-things-exp/1100-6438940/ Quote
FrostedFlake Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 The Bournes movies are soooo great ! Love to see the new trailer !! Really it will be tough to keep up with how awesome the other movies were. Quote
RetroLeaves Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I hope they can match the awesomess of the first three movies, especially the latter. The first half hour of that movie was the best Jason Bourne stuff ever. That train station sequence is still awesome. Great acting, too, from all involved. I love how they catch a glimpse of Bourne and they're all: f***, it's Jason Bourne. Quote
Night Hunter Posted April 22, 2016 Author Posted April 22, 2016 The first Jason Bourne 5 trailer After delighting fans with a brief teaser served up during the Super Bowl, Universal has dropped the full trailer for Jason Bourne. Yes, folks - your favorite amnesiac spy is back for a fifth helping of punch-ups and car chases. Following a nine-year break from the fast-paced world of global espionage, Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass return to the series. And by the looks of this jam-packed footage, they're on track to deliver what could be the most blistering Bourne yet. Check out the trailer below: This is how you do it. Front and center is Damon's brooding operative, who after nearly a decade away from our screens, has never looked more confident. Whether he's pummelling goons or pulling Evil Knievel stunts behind the wheel, there's no other action hero quite like him. The trailer's light on story beats, but really, does that matter when our appetites are already thoroughly whetted? If Greengrass planned to make us forget The Bourne Legacy, then by this trailer alone you can consider it done. Sorry, Hawkeye. Directed by Paul Greengrass and starring Matt Damon, Alicia Vikander, Julia Stiles, Vincent Cassel, Tommy Lee Jones, and Riz Ahmed, Jason Bourne is released in UK cinemas on July 27, 2016 before opening in US theatres a day later on July 29, 2016.
