redy. Posted April 23, 2015 Share Posted April 23, 2015 Hello everyone, I recognized that a couple of players complained about the map goldrush on silent #1. This seems to be related to an imbalance in the spawn times. The duration of allies and axis spawn times seem to be nearly the same (about 8 seconds). We play the new version of the map where allies spawn at a more optimal place and the distance for the tank is shortened, however with having a similar spawn time duration for allies and axis, it takes a lot of skill and energy for allies to get the gold to the truck. The axis have a short way to defend the gold and spawn so quick that you have to kill one player multiple times until you can reach he truck and secure the gold. The suggestion: We might get a more optimal balance if we add a couple of seconds to the axis spawn time. BnBChumMaster Posted April 23, 2015 Share Posted April 23, 2015 (edited) Could be spawn times but as much as I sit in spec and watch a full server play goldrush I'd have to say its not, based on how many routes there are for allies to follow and how many take those routes. On goldrush only an average of 6 players go to the main gate, 3 to 4 player shoot through side passage 2 usually hit the steps and come at the tank across from entrance of axis first spawn. The other two head for the wooden cart area. 4 to 5 players head right and down to the first aid and ammo station they either split up and mine area around 2nd axis spawn or come up the steps head towards tank. Also on average there are always idle players 1 to 2 per map. Increasing or decreasing spawn times might make a difference for the individual who can finish the map himself but I don't see a spawntime change helping the team...with everyone having their own objective while playing. Remember axis spawns and tank is right there, I think this is the closes axis spawn point on most maps we run.
