How's this for an ultimate epic fail at the BO. Uma Thurman's new movie, Motherhood, which did a measly $60,000 stateside, totally bombed in the U.K, only taking in $132. It was reported that only one person checked it out on opening night. Guess they have to bury this right by E.T at White Sands.

i saw this for sale at HMV and thought' never heard of this' , which at the time was odd as Uma thurman is usually a box office drawer

the film received generally negative reviews; only 9 out of 45 professional critics (20%) sampled by Rotten Tomatoes reacted positively.[3] The film premiered in London at a single cinema: the Apollo Piccadily Circus. The box office gross was £9 on its opening night and £88 on its opening weekend; only eleven viewers purchased a ticket, with only one person attending its first showing. In the United States, the film made only $60,000.[4][5] The producers have attributed this to the the film's simultaneous DVD release in the UK, which they called "experimenting with new release models". The Times observed that while Motherhood was only the second-worst flop in British cinematic history, the film that beat it to that honor, the 2007 "My Nikifor," which "took £7 on its launch[,] ... was a small independent effort rather than a £3m Hollywood production [like Motherhood]."[6] Accordingly, Motherhood can be thought to take the title of worst flop of a mainline Hollywood movie.

She has 4 other films she is currently filming and in pre-production, so hopefully this will help her bounce back to the top.
