This is exactly like me. I was pretty popular back in middle school because of this. Grade 6 I was shy and only talked when answering the teacher's questions (or asking her a question). Grade 7 I got more comfortable and I joined the talent show. Grade 8, was known by everyone cuz I was nice, funny and "cool"!

 

Just kidding, non of that sh*t happened. I was quiet during grade 6 and 7 but grade 8 was when I became a bit popular. Everyone knew me, but weren't exactly my friends :P
