Helsen Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Hello all, Just a new topic. The idea: place your favorite album here. It might be any genre, any decade, any year... If you want to you can expliain why, or just let the music talk BUT: you can only place 1 album of a particular genre here. You can place another album if you specialize. F.E. some of my favorites : My best grunge album of the 90ties is: Soundgarden - Superunknown My best jazz album ever is: Ben Webster - Soulville But... my best duet jazz album is: Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerrald - Ella and Louis and my best sax jazz album is: John Coltrane - Blue Train I hope to see some nice album here . Ofcourse I will post a lot more here too 2 Quote
sMirb Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 (edited) Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city I've been listening this album alot during this year. I love how Kendrick is telling stories and using different flows instead of just multirhyming like most rappers do. I think he is the best rapper out there at the moment and I can't wait for his next album. If you like rap music and you haven't paid attention to Kendrick you should definitely check him out and especially pay attention to the lyrics. This album is really tight totality and every song in it worth listening. Edited December 23, 2014 by Mirqli Quote

VanDuyvesteijn Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Nah VDuyvesteijn, am not sure either if I want 2 No seriously! He went to the New Orleans region and learned some old and new original songs. Then he sang them with a modern coating (and with local stars!). Please just listen to this one and fall in love https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVkYJ77CafA Quote
Helsen Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 VDuyvesteijn: I did listen just now . It has some good parts in it, which remind me a bit of Billy Vera & The Beaters. But also I think this is too slick, no real soul in it. A bit like the Michael Buble versions, sorry Quote
