sincity
HTC was one of the first companies to publically outline its Android Lollipop plans, claiming that it would bring the update to its flagships within 90 days of the final build's availability, which would mean early February. But it looks like the company might be ahead of schedule, as new reports claim that it will start updating both this year's HTC One M8 and last year's HTC One on January 3. According to TechTastic.nl, HTC confirmed as much at a closed London event as well as confirming that the update would bring a new look to its handsets and of course the update should bring the standard Lollipop improvements too, such as slicker performance and an improved notifications system. Seeing Sense Backing up its claims the site has also got hold of some images which purportedly show a test build of the new Sense interface on an HTC One M8. As it's a test build it may undergo some changes before launch, but visually it doesn't look vastly different from the current version of Sense. Hopefully this news does prove true, but bear in mind that even if the update does start on January 3 that doesn't necessarily mean you'll get it then, as it's likely to be a phased roll-out to different countries and networks. Check our guide to see when other handsets will get updated to Lollipop.
