As promised, Hideo Kojima took to the stage during The Game Awards to offer a first look at the new Metal Gear Online.

The trailer above (skip to 5:00) shows off player customization before diving into the action. Snake is shown using a drone to mark targets for team mates to take out, saving a team mate from a balloon trap, and taking control of a giant mech to mow down the enemy team.

The round ends with Snake taking a selfie with a captured Ocelot—which I really hope happens at the end of every round.

Metal Gear Online will ship with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PC in 2015.
