Mr.Karizmatic Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Serkan Hasan, lead game designer on The Crew, has total “confidence in the stability of the game” for tomorrow’s launch, the developer told U.K. outlet The Metropolist. According to Hasan, The Crew’s launch will benefit from their extensive beta testing, which he says was “designed specifically to push our infrastructure as far as possible in real world situations, with thousands of players from all over the world playing the game at the same time.” Hasan acknowledges, of course, that “the launch of any online game these days has potential issues.” Much of 2014 is littered with examples of launch issues, most recently 343 Industries’ online woes with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and from Ubisoft themselves Assassin’s Creed Unity, which required enough patching to smooth out the wrinkles that the company eventually offered the first planned DLC, Dead Kings, free to early adopters of the game to compensate. The Crew launches across Windows PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 worldwide tomorrow. Look forward to EGM’s review later this week. In the meantime, enjoy the obligatory launch trailer (embedded above) released today. Quote
