@ fred: anyone can interrupt reload by sprinting. You can also cut reload time a bit by sprinting at the right time. This just binds it to a diff key, using diff commands. ill post up my cfg next time im at school.

dont see the need for scripts. the only thing different in my config is that when you press tab, the names are white and my name is red, instead of orange or whatever the default color is. and i have the gun skins disabled. like the red tiger and stuff like that. only thing that will show are the gold weapons.

The script I use for reload canceling works by switching to your pistol and back to your regular gun really fast.

bind J "weapnext; wait 2; weapnext"

There's no reason not to allow it, because anyone can do it and because the ability to edit your config is part of the game. Certain parts of your config are not allowed to be edited, but this was allowed since it's completely fair.

Also, my config for anybody you want to see it.

That leads to some son of a b*** fast semi-auto shots with a bolt action.

No scoped of course, so it's not that useful :P

Haha, Malo, I do that when I get surprised by someone while sniping. :P

Usually doesn't work, but when it does it gives a funny killcam.

Don't shoot me ... I know necro Bump from hell of a REALLY OLD Thread ... but ... Did we ever get a RULING on this ? I've been seeing a BIG INFLUX of new players, or past players that used be just ok, now come on the Abnerdog Server using SCRIPTS to turn single fire rifles into fully automatic machine guns ... and as was said IMO this is borderline hacking to alter the gameplay to gain an unfair advantage.

So are these types of SCRIPTS Allowed ? or NOT ?

Thanks :feedback

From what I have been told, they are allowed. There is something we can implement into punkbuster to automatically kick for having a scroll wheel bound or kick for most scripts but some of the servers do not have punkbuster. There is not a definete way to know if someone is using these kinds of scripts otherwise :P

ACTUALLY ... I found this just now by digging around a little ...

http://fearless-assa...tion=boardrules

Server Rules :

13. Scripts that may alter game play to give the user a distinct advantage over other players are prohibited. These scripts for example, may include anti-recoil scripts and mortar scripts. Persons using these scripts should be handled as a common offense (!warn, !kick, !ban) and not a hacking offense (immediate permanent ban).

I guess this begs the question ... which scripts persay - "alter game play to give the user a distinct advantage over other players" ?

IMO wouldn't just about any and all ? I mean in My Above example, if you turn single fire rifles into fully automatic machine guns ... well  yeah you've altered game play to give yourself an advantage over other players. But as you mention ... HOW do we prove someone is using one ?
