well im new to cod, and i like changing my configs and stuff. I ran across some scripts that im ethically confused about. One script allows you to fire weapons in bursts, full auto, or single shot. the other interrupts you reload so you can shoot if you get suprised. Any feedback regarding the legality of these would be appreciated.

Pretty sure those kind of scripts are not allowed on the server. I tried it was on the server a while back cause i didn't know. But after i was told no to have not used them since.

wut a bunch of scripting sukas i have been playing a lot of cod5 now and i have seen a server that do not allow a brust or full auto is yours a tripple action shooting with a prone wait ?

setting 1: crouches, shoots 3 shots, jumps, shoots 3, then prones. setting 2: just does 4 shots. setting 3: normal attack. Honestly its fairly useless. Not acccurate, and in the heat of the game i usually forget i have it, so it doesn't get used :s

I use the script that cancels reload. I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed.

 

Also, for the script that makes you shoot semi-autos full-auto, couldn't you just use scroll wheel to do the same thing? So why wouldn't that be allowed?

Well i dont use it anymore. An F|A member told me to remove it or get banned for it a while back, couldn't remember who but yeah since then i haven't used anything. But if its allowed ....

omfg scripts shouldnt be allowed. they are the lesser form of hacking. how is it fail for someone like tomato to be able to cancel reload when noone else can. i say we ban anyone with scripts because they ARE hacks

ANYBODY can use the script, as well as manually do the action that the script I use does. Please tell me why it is a "lesser form of hacking" if they implement the ability to make scripts into the game.

They dont help with aim or skill, so they shouldnt be considered hacking.

Personally I don't use scripts, added once 3 or 4 binds script to change fov, sensitivity or graphics then I unbind them cuz didn't even use them.

 

now the only things i added is through the game menu and some cvars changed on console, so now i have binds and cvars changed like this:
