The crisp Autumnal winds of November will soon be blowing in, and they’ll be carrying with them a whole new selection of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

This is one of those months where I know some people will b***, because the entire line-up of offerings is made up of indie titles and/or smaller releases. Now, that doesn’t mean these aren’t great games—most of them have been very well received in the community—but if you’re always waiting to see what retail releases you’ll next be getting for free, this won’t be your month.

First up is the PlayStation 4, which will be getting Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, the remake of the cult rogue-like action shooter from Edmund McMillen (one half of the team who created Super Meat Boy). Joining Isaac will be SteamWorld Dig, a “mining platform action-adventure game” that I’ve not personally played yet, but which I know a whole lot of people have fallen in love with.

Over on the PlayStation 3, we’ll be getting Frozen Synapse Prime and Luftrausers. The former I know little about, but I’m a big fan of Luftrausers—it’s a great, classic arcade-styled score attack shooter.

Finally, PlayStation Vita owners will be getting The Hungry Horde and Escape Plan, along with Vita cross-buy versions of Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, SteamWorld Dig, Luftrausers, and possibly Frozen Synapse Prime (if it also turns out to be cross-buy). As well, Escape Plan will also be downloadable on the PS4.
