EA has announced that it will be removing the ability to directly trade with players in FIFA 15 Ultimate Team to help combat coin sellers.

Trade offers basically allow players to offer either players or coins to another player without having to go through the normal auction process. “We’ll be removing Trade Offers from FIFA 15 Ultimate Team,” community manager Rob Hodson wrote.

“Although some honest players used this feature to trade with friends, it became one of the methods used by coin sellers to sell and move coins. Account phishers also abused Trade Offers by moving stolen players and coins after wrongfully gaining access to unsuspecting FUT player accounts.

“This will also address “bid bumping”, where people would try and trick others into bidding far more than they wanted for a player item. It was a tough decision, but this is the right step towards improving security, showing cheaters the red card, and keeping FUT safe for all FIFA fans.”

As well as this, the maximum amount of items that players can bid on at once will be set to a maximum of 50. It will be lower at first, but can be upped to 50 with unlockable boosts.

FIFA 15 is set to launch September 23 in North America and September 26 in Europe for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
