wreck
seems a little pricey for 2 gtx 260's, i think you can do better then that http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814143189 same card $199 and free shipping you could also go with 4890's in crossfire, they are usually around 199 each, and they are better then the gtx 260 and you might be better off just ordering the parts separate, not to sure about intel boards, but i wouldn't buy one
AzuShika
Depending on where you're from, go to newegg and look for some combos, I've seen them save a heck load of money. Also, gives us an idea of what your budget is and what you're looking for, otherwise I can't really help.

deathfromabo
Thanks alot onion! so i assume you would recommend the single but better graphics card over the pair of less powerful graphics cards?
wreck
imo the corsair dominator ram is wayyyyy overpriced for what it is, i have the ocz gold 6gb @1600 and its pretty fast ram and it was only ~$130. use that saved cash on a nicer case, lian li maybe? :>
OnionKnight
Thanks alot onion! so i assume you would recommend the single but better graphics card over the pair of less powerful graphics cards? Yes I would =). It would be better for your computer power consumption and air flow wise. Also the HD5870 is much much more power than what you will ever need for the next 6-7 years. It is also very energy efficient, every low temps (40 C at idle !) and has great external exhaust. Those crossfiring those older, less powerful video card models of yester-year (like the HD4870), literally eats wattage like mad and idles at 70 C !!. Its frightening how hot they can get and a lot of people had to rely on aftermarket cooling for the older cards (especially when playing something like empire total war). The newer cards on the other hand has proven that even the stock cooling does quite well. Note: What I gave you uptop was just an example of what awesome things you can build with that type of money =). You can pretty much go nuts, but still watch your budget XD. imo the corsair dominator ram is wayyyyy overpriced for what it is, i have the ocz gold 6gb @1600 and its pretty fast ram and it was only ~$130. use that saved cash on a nicer case, lian li maybe? :> Hahah true. To be honest I never used OCZ ram before so I wouldn't know if they are good. I was always the corsair/patriot ram kind of guy XD. I think it would be safe to say that OCZ should give the same result though. I was afraid to consider the OCZ ram because I wanted to get the 4 gb OCZ DDR3 @ 1333 for $74.99 on newegg when it had a promotion sale last month, but the overall rating 2 stars out of 5 because of tons of crashing and instability on stock settings and people had to RMA it. This could also be the reason why the ram was so cheap in the first place XD. As for the case, I bet there are lots of much nicer cases like you suggested =D. I just suggested this one because my friend had some amazing cooling solutions with the older version of it (the azza helios). So Update: OCZ gold 6GB @ 1600 DDR3 Triple channel memory ~ $175.99 Canadian before $30 rebate - http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227365&cm_re=OCZ_DDR3-_-20-227-365-_-Product (it was the cheapest I can find for canada)
Number1Dad
My method of choosing components: free shipping trumps all. Amazon and Newegg usually have lots of stuff with free shipping. The system Onion posted is a BEAST and will be enough to run anything at full settings for the next two years, especially if you take advantage of overclocking. If you're going to do that, I'd buy cheaper DDR3 and a CPU cooler. Edited March 16, 2010 by Number1Dad
