If anyone can recall back In 2012 the Yogscast and Winterkewl games raised $567,665 in a Kickstarter to fund a game called Yogventures.

After two years of development and even a beta last year the game has officially been cancelled. Yogscast are trying to play the innocent ones in this fiasco saying they merely gave rights to Winterkewl to use their likeness/voices/etc and by no means are they responsible for the failure. Refunds were not given out, but instead everyone that pledged money received a key to a game called TUG on steam. Yogscast are now partnering with TUG, but are not financially supporting the game.

After reading the last update from Winterkewl (which was a team of about 6 people) I am not surprised the project didn't work out.

This should remind everyone to be careful what you want to back. Even with high profile clients like the yogscast you never know what will happen.
