Never Mind...he is playing on Jay 1 right now!

 

I tested removing etconfig.cfg from profiles\name and putting it into etamin and ET ran ok.   Tt seemed to just copy it right back to profiles\name.  Win7 may have kept track of it.

 

The game settings appear to be the same, so I will have to MD5-check both of them to be sure.

 

ADDED:  they not the same, the one that showed back up in profiles\name is 2kb smaller than the original...

 

Some of the lines have been re-ordered, but are the same...

 

I will have to download some kind of analysis tool to make the comparison...Off-topic, but very interesting!

 

BTW, the computer had been in Hibernation, and may not have been not restarted since my last ET session.
