Was amazed at how smoothly it made me run BF4 , I can max it with my 3930K + 7950 3GB version @ 50fps

I was also amazed at how it made me run ET ......................

WIll have to roll back drivers lmao

Wait, before you rollback, try turning off your PC for a minute or so, then turn it back on and check. I think that shit happened to me once but I just waited a while before rolling back and the fps shot back up to normal.

And if that doesn't work and you want the new drivers, try rolling back, then applying the update again to see if it fixes. I just feel like I've done this before and it somehow worked out.

Interesting.

On Arch Linux I had to roll back to previous Catalyst as well, after having ultralow fps in ET (glxgears and all the rest didn't go slower, but ET was like 15fps).

I could try that setting as well, but for now I've put Catalyst in the 'don't update' list of the package manager.

After all ET is the only game I play, and I doubt new versions of Catalyst will give me more fps for that old game, maybe less.

@Sun , any ideas with r_primitives 2 fixes it ?

I didn't try yet, but now I see I have (still talking about Linux) 13-11-1, the one giving me problems was 13-11-6

In my config I had r_primitives 0 (which actually afaik chooses between 1 and 2 automatically)

Now I'll try to install the latest driver again

r_primitives 2 works like a charm :kiss

Tested with Catalyst 13.11 beta 6 + Arch Linux 64 bit (Kernel 3.11-6-1)

The difference in fps is really huge.

Probably r_primitives 0 chose the wrong setting

in my etconsole.log I read first: 'rendering primitives: multiple glArrayElement'

then later: rendering primitives: single glDrawElements (which should be r_primitives 2)
