Starting error

Hey Guys,

 

i've been having this "problem" for about two or three years by now:

 

Whenever I start the iw3mp.exe on my desktop computer (seems like a general problem, cuz i have been different setups in the last years) windows 7 pro (the only stable^^) says:

 

iw3mp soenst work properly - and the game crashes, before it even starts.

 

the funny thing is (when i saw this the first time, i actually used google to help) - plugging in a headset solves the problem!

 

but since my doorbell isnt working atm, i cant use the headset, because i just dont hear a thing :-D

 

does anyone know that problem? or even better: does anyone know how to solve it?

I believe the issue actually centers around the mic. Do you have a mic plugged in?

With only the mic plugged in it should work too.

i only have the mic that is in my headset! and as soon as i plug it in - the sounds goes there too...
