Also burn some backups on CD. Clean you PC and when you insert that CD before disable autorun on windows, also check with antivir before opening files on CD next time.

Also did you try to reset your connection to internet on windows? By the way which OS do you use?

Also you can troubleshoot with checking Start Manager while net cable plugged in and not plugged in.

But start with backups.
