Yea its pretty good, It just lets you fully Customise Minecraft. So you can turn water graphics, fire graphics....etc Its useful if you want to make minecraft to look better. 

If you have a very powerful computer id also get Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders and GLSL Shaders Mod  To make minecraft the best.

I think its a good mod and its worth getting.

I'm late, but yes, I definitely recommend using it. It really enhances the whole visual aspect of the game.
