does anyone remember "cpma" for quake3?

i used to have homosexual feelings for this mod, lol jk

 

really, it used to allow a much greater control over the player, you could turn sharper & maintain the speed you'd gained whilst strafe jumping, rocket jumps didn't hurt you etc.

 

for those who dont know what cpma is, here's a vid  from you tube, can you keep up with the speed & pace of this?

Yes, but this is the ET section

 

Used to play it sometimes but I like the vanilla movement more for normal play. For timeruns and trickjumping CPMA movement rocks

nope, forgot all about quakecon tbh.

 

was just imagining if, maybe, a somilar mod for ET might be about somewhere. might be fun to play, but iirc, there was only a small number of quake3 people who acctually played cpma. compared to the likes of rocket arena etc.

ETrun has CPMA physics implemented and also a bunch of defrag maps converted for ET.

I'm always happy for this mod advertising because it'll really fun and you get a good move

Dinius released APFrag mod a few years ago.  Cpma for ET more or less.  I'm sure you could find it with a little searching around but you'll have to host a server oc.
