My COD4 starts slow :( i can't play

From my experience, it depends on your HDD.

I install all my games to my 5400RPM HDD and they all load rather slow, however, I have CoD4 on my SSD and it loads in 3 seconds now.

 

 

While a reinstall might be a decent idea, its probably hardware related. Try installing it on a HDD or SSD that does not have the OS on it.

 

There is a second option, if you have more than 8GB of RAM you could look into using 3rd party Ram Cache software (I used eboostr and got cod4 to load in less than a second when configured properly) BUT this is an advanced option and I don't recommend it.

Is it not starting up quick or is it the gameplay? What is exactly slow about it?
