COD MW 2 controller possible???

Is it possible playing mw2 on pc to be able to use an xbox 360 controller that is for computers??? I'm sorry if my question was ill formed. I'm just curious if a pc adaptable xbox 360 controller can be used to play mw2 on pc, cause I know it's not possible when playing call of duty 4: modern warfare.

If the game has no joystick or gamepad support you have to use some emulator like this: http://www.xpadder.com/

But not sure how punkbuster would react on such stuff...
