RubberDuck Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126050 I would love to be able to type with my keyboard. Quote
Jefke Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Well, depends are you intrested in a mechanical keyboard or not. I love them, but they are kind of expensive I got the corsair k60 for daily work and gaming, it has red switches making it less perfect for typing a lot of text. So I got me also a das keyboard with brown switches Besides those two you also have black and blue switches Info about the switches (but you really need to test it yourself for the best choice): http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/mechanical-switch-keyboard,2955-4.html Quote
RubberDuck Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 My friends said that brown switches are best for about everything that you can do with your pc. I got the corsair k60 for daily work and gaming, it has red switches making it less perfect for typing a lot of text. So I got me also a das keyboard with brown switches That corsair looks perfect but i want to keep my options open. Quote
BnBChumMaster Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I would love to be able to type with my keyboard. I posted that because it saves on constant keyboard abuse and it helps focus on just gaming. Using a controller your less likely to step in stupid chit both while gaming and Administratively. Quote

That's why I said you need to test them out (me, for example don't like the blue ones at all) I can't game on brown switches, but dam they are amazing to type whole papers on XD And yeah, the corsair one is pretty good (although not all keys are mechanical) There is a follow up keyboard of the k60 which has all mechanical keys: the corsair k70 Would go for that one instead of the k60 (when I bought the k60, the k70 didn't exist XD), although I don't like backlight Quote

XenoDeki Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Cost: $69.99 You could get this. It's not that expensive considering that it's from SteelSeries but sadly it is not mechanical Or you can get... Cost: $99.99 But sadly this colored illumination is not yet available. m4G- Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 http://www.cmstorm.com/en/products/keyboards/quickfirepro/ I just bought this with red switches. And the typing is kind a kinky the keys are really really light and often comes missspells etc. If you want and allarounder i would go with the black switches and cm storm quickfire. Its really quality product with a good price. If you check the specs ytou see that it weights 1.3kgs, talk about quality? And its just the size of a normal office keyboard. No fancy buttons, and in mode you can set f5tof12 to your media keys. Simple and effective. Quote
RubberDuck Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 I ordered my k70 yesterday and I'll have it in about a week Thank you for all suggestions and tips. Quote
LA_Kings_Fan Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Cool ... congrats RubberDuck, PLEASE post afterwards about how you like it or not ... I'm still waiting on my purchase of that same keyboard so your review may help sway me one way or another ... thanks Quote
RubberDuck Posted June 16, 2013 Author Posted June 16, 2013 This keyboard is just awesome! I love the red switches and the extra keys that come with this. Only bad thing I can say about this keyboard is that these extra keys are red and I ordered that ''silver and blue backlight keyboard'' so it doesnt match the color. So i definetly recommend this awesome keyboard. Quote
Raider- Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I have a Logitech G710+ Mechanical and I love it. Uses MX Cherry Brown switches (Tactile no click) , has multimedia keys, 6 G keys, USB, and O rings under the keys to dampen sound (only keyboard with O rings). The keys are still louder than a rubber dome keyboard but it is queiter than a Black Widow blue key. This keyboard is expensive though. Quote
