Still, not only did Margot Woelk avoid being poisoned while serving as Der Fuhrer's gastronomical guinea pig, she's lived to the ripe old age of 95. Now she reveals that his vegetarianism bordered on the fanatical, which agrees with an account of him telling Joseph Goebbels he intended to convert sausage-centric Germany to a no-meat diet. Alas, he could have used Emily Post as well as a food screener. A soldier's diary once complained of him wiping his nose during meals and noted that "his table manners are little short of shocking."
