Dddrgn Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 So, I'm not sure what is going on, but I have been trying to figure out how to record demos that way if it is needed, I can. Unfortunately, after following some tutorials, I typed in the proper record command and stop record command, yet when I venture into my cod4 folder, and go to the appropriate area, there is no "demos" folder, and no demo anywhere in sight. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Quote
SinfulRaevyn Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Are you getting the proper message when doing the demo commands? Does it show up in game that it's recording, and when you stop recording? Quote
yellow flash Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 when you do /record it should show it on left corner the size of it . also you see it in console when you start it. Quote
NotYourEggo Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Make sure when you record someone that you dont use any spaces in the name. For example if there name is "yellow flash", you need to type '/record yellow_flash' not '/record yellow flash' or it wont record. Quote
rolf Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Among all hints of above, it might be in a different directory. See here: http://fearless-assassins.com/tutorials/article/254-finding-the-demo-folder-for-cod4-game/ Also (not listed there, C:/Program Files (x86)/Activision/Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare/main) Are all the folders empty? 1 Quote
Dddrgn Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 (edited) when i hit to start recording there is the message in the bottom, and when I hit stop record (using the console of course) it goes away. and I am trying to make a demo of myself. EDIT: thanks for that link, one of it's directories contained the demos. Edited November 3, 2012 by Dddrgn Quote
