Noob question: Putting an image in to a forum post or reply

How do you insert an image in to a reply? When I click the little image icon, it asks for the URL.

Does this mean that I must first upload a photo to my forum image gallery?

Thanks

It means you are clicking the option to add an image using a link . If you want you can upload the image in your forum post and click "add to post" , it is the easiest way.

What I do:

Click on the top left button in the Reply to this Topic section (called Toggle editing mode)

Then place the image between img tags. Like this:

 [img=http://www.aerospaceweb.org/aircraft/fighter/f22/f22_09.jpg]

f22_09.jpg

But yes, either you have to find the image on google and find the URL to the image. Or you need to upload it to a website like photobucket (Link) and link the image from there.
