Well at least partly made of diamonds. The planet is covered in mainly carbon (diamonds are also made of carbon) and they found that the carbon is actually in diamond form. It has about twice the radius of the earth and is also made up of iron, silicon, and silicates.

At least a third of the planet's mass is likely pure diamond.

They first thought this planet had a similar atmosphere make up to the Earth and because of this thought that it had super-critical fluids "oozing" on the planet surface. But since they found out that it does not have a similar atmosphere, they are pretty sure it does not have any water.

Name: 55 Cancri

Mass: 8 times Earth's mass = 8 * 5.9722*10^24 = 4.77776*10^25kg = 1.05331578*10^26 lbs

Orbit period: 18 hours

Surface Temperature: 3,900 degrees F (2,100 degrees C)

Radius: 2*Earth's Radius = 2*6,384km = 12,768km = 7,933.67 miles

So yeah, it is a pretty interesting read about this planet. If they ever found a way to bring it to Earth, I wonder if that would decrease or increase the price of Diamonds. I mean they could also sell it as "alien diamonds" and make it even more expensive then a "earth-diamond".
