Corey Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 I think only a few people here played the first Dead Island game, but I personally enjoyed it a lot I only beat it once, but spent almost 50 hours playing it so not bad! Anyways back to topic...Dead Island Riptide has been revealed! It is the second installment of the Dead Island series that takes place right after you get on the helicopter at the end of the first game. According to the article it is going to be released sometime this year, but I looked at the website (http://deadisland.deepsilver.com/home) and it says will be released in 2013. Here are some of the new features: - New Character - New Vehicles - New Levels and Weather Conditions - Evolved Multiplayer - Weapon Proficiency - Hub Defense Game Mechanics and there is an unknown 5th playable character. I have high expectations for this game and hoping they fix all the bugs and glitches that were in the first one. Ow_my_eye Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Despite the bugginess, I really liked Dead Island, and in fact, was considering reinstalling it to play it again. Thanks for the news on this. Looking forward to it. 1 Quote
Moxie_01 Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 I might consider it. Though my experience with the first brings aching memories of bugs, and terrible multiplayer connections, among other things. However if the reviews are good I'll look into it. Who doesn't wanna play a game like this? Maybe I'll try to beat the first one. 2013? Will give me enough time to save for it. Which version are you gents grabbing it for? Ps3 PC etc? Quote
Ow_my_eye Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I'm on PC. I've not had to reinstall the first one after all (it seems to work just fine off my old drive) and the bugginess seems to be gone... maybe there was an update I forgot about. Still a fun game that occasionally scares the crap outta me. looking forward to riptide. Quote
